“Vancouver Goldeneyes Stage Comeback, Defeat Boston Fleet 4-3”

The Vancouver Goldeneyes mounted a comeback in the third period with goals from Claire Thompson, Sophie Jaques, and Izzy Daniel to secure a 4-3 victory over the Boston Fleet at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit during a Takeover Tour event.

Boston’s Jamie Lee Rattray opened the scoring early in the third period, putting the Fleet ahead 3-1 in front of a crowd of 33,871, the third-largest in league history. However, Vancouver fought back, with Thompson and Jaques finding the back of the net to level the score. Izzy Daniel then scored the go-ahead goal, with Emerance Maschmeyer providing solid goaltending to preserve the lead.

Tereza Vanišová and Michela Cava assisted on Thompson’s goal, while Daniel and Hannah Miller contributed to Jaques’ power play goal. Olivia Mobley gave Boston an early lead, but Miller quickly responded for the Goldeneyes. Susanna Tapani added another goal for the Fleet before the teams played a scoreless second period.

Aerin Frankel made 17 saves for Boston, while Maschmeyer stopped 24 shots for Vancouver. This victory marked the Goldeneyes’ first win in six games away from their home arena at the Pacific Coliseum during the ongoing 2025-26 PWHL Takeover Tour.
