“Raiders Fire Head Coach Carroll After Disappointing Season”

The Las Vegas Raiders have made the decision to part ways with head coach Pete Carroll after just one season. Despite high expectations, the Raiders struggled throughout the season, finishing with a 3-14 record and a 10-game losing streak. The team concluded their season with a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Owner Mark Davis, along with minority owner Tom Brady, will collaborate with general manager John Spytek to begin the search for a new head coach. The team is considering hiring an offensive-minded coach to mentor their young quarterback.

Carroll, who is 74 years old, was the oldest head coach in the NFL and had previously led the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl victory.

In Arizona, the Cardinals have decided to part ways with head coach Jonathan Gannon after a disappointing third season marked by injuries, costly mistakes, and a series of uncompetitive losses. The Cardinals suffered a 37-20 defeat against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, marking their ninth consecutive loss and 14th loss in 15 games.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns have announced the dismissal of coach Kevin Stefanski after six seasons with the team. Stefanski, a two-time AP NFL Coach of the Year, guided the Browns to playoff appearances in 2020 and 2023. The team wrapped up the season with a 5-12 record, securing a 20-18 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in their final game.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank has outlined plans to make significant changes following the termination of coach Raheem Morris and general manager Terry Fontenot. Blank revealed that additional upper management changes are in the pipeline, including the appointment of a new president of football operations from outside the organization.

The new president will report directly to Blank and will take over the football operations role from Greg Beadles, who has been reassigned as president and CEO to oversee the business operations of the Falcons. Rich McKay will retain his position as CEO of AMB Sports and Entertainment, focusing on various responsibilities such as the upcoming World Cup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and preparations for Atlanta’s 2028 Super Bowl.

The decision to dismiss Morris and Fontenot was made following the Falcons’ 19-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints, wrapping up their second consecutive 8-9 season under Morris. Despite finishing with four straight wins, the Falcons have not had a winning season or made a playoff appearance since 2017.
