“Chrysler Pacifica & Grand Caravan Sales Soar in Canada”

Windsor faced challenges throughout the year, but it was a successful period for minivan production in Canada’s automotive hub. Recent data from Stellantis for 2025, unveiled on Monday, revealed a notable increase in Canadian sales of the Chrysler Pacifica and Grand Caravan compared to the previous year.

The Grand Caravan witnessed a 30% surge in sales year-over-year, while the Pacifica experienced a remarkable 95% increase, contributing to significant growth for the Chrysler brand, as highlighted by the company. Despite this positive development, Stellantis encountered a 12% decline in overall sales in Canada compared to the previous year as it strives to strengthen its position in the North American market.

Trevor Longley, the President for Canada at Stellantis North America, emphasized the company’s century of operations in Canada in 2025 and expressed optimism for a robust 2026, building on recent progress and slight market share improvements. He anticipates this positive trajectory to persist with the introduction of exciting new products to the market.

Among these new offerings is a gas-powered Dodge Charger manufactured alongside the minivans in Windsor. This launch follows the underwhelming reception of electric versions of the classic muscle car among consumers, although a battery-powered Charger model will remain available. Stellantis reported selling fewer than 1,000 units of the current generation of the muscle car built in Windsor, encompassing both the Dodge Charger Daytona EVs and gas-powered SIXPACKs.

Notably, the production of the internal combustion SIXPACK commenced just last month, meaning the Daytona EVs primarily contributed to the 2025 sales figures. A local dealership previously mentioned that they had sold only two Daytonas but indicated a higher level of buyer interest in the SIXPACKS.
