Garlic powder available at Dollarama is under recall, and Canadians are advised against consuming the impacted product. The recall pertains to Heavenly Spices brand garlic powder sold in a 70-gram package distributed nationwide. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced the recall initiated by the dollar store chain earlier this week. The CFIA’s statement advised against using, selling, serving, or distributing the affected product. The recall was prompted by Bacillus cereus contamination in the seasoning, a bacterium known to cause food poisoning with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
