A safety alert has been issued for Panasonic Flashxpress Toaster Ovens distributed in the United States and Canada due to a potential electric shock risk. The recall pertains to Flashxpress toaster ovens bearing model numbers NB-G205S and NB-G200SVA, which can be located on the product label at the rear of the appliance. The concern stems from the power cord of the toaster oven.
Panasonic has stated that the insulation on the power cord might be inadequate as a protective fiberglass sleeve may not completely cover the cord, posing a possible danger of electric shock or fire. In response, Panasonic, Health Canada, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have advised consumers to cease using the affected toaster ovens immediately and return them to the manufacturer for a refund.

Approximately 2,184 of the impacted products were sold in Canada, with an additional 11,500 sold in the U.S. between November 2025 and March 2026.
