Canadian para skier Alexis Guimond clinched the gold medal in the men’s standing super-G event at a World Cup competition held in Saalbach, Austria. Hailing from Gatineau, Quebec, Guimond secured the top spot with a remarkable time of one minute and three seconds. His victory was followed by Arthur Bauchet of France claiming the silver medal with a time of 1:03.06, and Russia’s Aleksei Bugaev taking the bronze with a time of 1:03.81.

Furthermore, Mollie Jepsen from West Vancouver, British Columbia, secured the bronze medal in the women’s standing super-G, clocking a time of 1:09.26 seconds. Jepsen, who has now achieved seven podium finishes in 10 races this season, expressed her satisfaction with her performance and her determination to continue improving. The gold in the women’s event was claimed by Varvara Voronchikhina with a time of 1:07.93, while France’s Aurelie Richard took the silver with a time of 1:08.54. Michaela Gosselin from Collingwood, Ontario, finished fifth with a time of 1:13.08.
