“Canadian Skiers Shine with Silver and Bronze in Aspen”

A duo of Canadian athletes achieved podium success at the women’s freestyle skiing slopestyle World Cup event held in Aspen, Colorado. Megan Oldham from Parry Sound, Ontario, and Elena Gaskell from Vernon, British Columbia, secured the silver and bronze medals, respectively. The gold medal was claimed by Kirsty Muir from Great Britain.

Oldham clinched the silver with a score of 73.02 on her second run, while Gaskell secured the bronze with a final run score of 72.90. In the men’s competition, American skier Mac Forehand emerged victorious with a score of 77.38, followed by Estonia’s Henry Sildaru in second place with 75.90, and Norway’s Ulrik Samnoey in third with 74.64.

The highest-ranking Canadian male athlete was Max Moffatt, finishing in sixth place with a score of 72.71 on his second run.
