“Céline Dion Announces Paris Concert Comeback”

Céline Dion is celebrating her 58th birthday, and her devoted fans are in for a treat as she announces her comeback to the concert stage. In a video shared on her Instagram on Monday, Dion revealed that she will be performing two shows per week from September 12 to October 14 in Paris. The iconic singer will grace the stage at the Paris La Défense Arena, which can accommodate up to 40,000 attendees.

Expressing her excitement, Dion mentioned that it was challenging to keep the news a secret. She shared her joy at the opportunity to connect with her fans once again in Paris, calling it the best gift of her life. Pre-sale for the concerts will kick off on April 7, followed by general ticket sales starting on April 10.

The Quebec-born singer had to cancel her Courage World Tour in 2022 due to her battle with stiff person syndrome, a condition affecting her singing ability, ultimately leading to the tour’s cancellation in 2023. Dion made a public singing appearance again in July 2024 at the summer Olympic Games opening ceremony in Paris and later at a fashion show in Saudi Arabia.

Dion expressed her gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support during her health struggles. Catherine Pearson, a Dion tribute artist, described the announcement as a blessing for fans worldwide, eagerly awaiting her return to the stage. The anticipation for her comeback was fueled by posters featuring Dion’s song titles across Paris and a nighttime rehearsal footage broadcasted by France’s BFMTV.

Dion’s Instagram account teased her return with nostalgic photos of Paris before the official announcement. The singer’s comeback was commemorated with a dazzling light show at the Eiffel Tower, where fans gathered to celebrate her return. Dion, a five-time Grammy and 20-time Juno award winner, discussed her battle with stiff person syndrome in a candid interview, emphasizing her determination to sing again despite the challenges posed by the rare neurological disorder.
