Durham authorities seek public assistance in locating a missing woman from Pickering who was last seen at the beginning of the month. The Durham Regional Police Service announced in a press release that 61-year-old Rosetta vanished on December 1 in the vicinity of Douglas Avenue and Radom Street around 1 p.m.
Constable Nicholas Gluckstein mentioned that there is no information on the direction Rosetta might have taken. Described as having white ethnicity, a medium build, and dark brown hair, she was attired in a black toque, a long black trench coat-style winter jacket, black pants, black and white shoes, and carrying a light-colored purse or tote bag when last spotted.
Although details about her medical background were not revealed, authorities classified her as “vulnerable.” Gluckstein stated that exhaustive efforts, including area canvassing, scrutinizing surveillance footage, and drone deployment, have been made to locate her.
While specific places she frequents were not divulged, Durham police confirmed investigations at known spots and interviews with witnesses. Gluckstein emphasized that no evidence suggests she interacted with someone or left the area accompanied by anyone specific. Her current whereabouts remain uncertain, with the possibility that she may still be in Durham or have departed the region.
Neighboring police services have been alerted about her disappearance, with both investigators and her family expressing deep concerns for her safety. Individuals with any relevant information are urged to reach out to Durham authorities.
