The funeral followed a two-day public viewing at the Valentino Foundation’s headquarters in Rome.
Notable figures from the fashion world, including Tom Ford, Donatella Versace, and Anna Wintour, as well as Hollywood celebrities like Anne Hathaway, attended the service. Fans of Valentino also congregated outside the church, some adorned in red attire or accessories as a tribute to the designer’s iconic color choice.
Valentino Garavani, who passed away at 93 in his Rome home, was revered by royalty, first ladies, and celebrities such as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Queen Rania of Jordan, and Julia Roberts. Known as the “last emperor” of Italian fashion, Valentino was praised for making his clients feel and look their best.
