Jake Paul instantly hits back at Floyd Mayweather after Mike Tyson fight claims

Must read

Jake Paul has taken a brutal swipe at Floyd Mayweather after the latter’s comments about ‘The Problem Child’s’ fight with Mike Tyson.

Paul famously went head-to-head with Tyson – a former heavyweight world champion – back in November. Despite being unable to knock out the 58-year-old, the social media star would eventually go on to get his hand raised via unanimous decision in Texas.

Immediately after the contest, several stars within combat sports were quick to offer their verdict on the controversial heavyweight dust-up. Recently appearing on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, when asked to share his thoughts on the Paul vs Tyson fight, Myaweather said: “I don’t really know where to go with this subject because if I say something, I’m going to get backlash.

“Well, basically, when you’re watching boxing for free, you can have millions and millions and millions, hundreds of millions views, but when you’re watching Floyd Mayweather, you have to pay. I did pay-per-view numbers. Check the numbers.” The boxing legend then took a brutal swipe at Logan Paul, saying: “Well, me and Logan, we done an exhibition and that’s why he moved to WWE because he wanted to hold me the whole night. He wanted to hold on, he wanted to wrestle I think WWE is good for Logan.”

Fallon then hinted at a possible clash between Mayweather and Logan’s brother Jake, to which ‘Money’ replied: “Easy. Too easy. At 48, too easy.” The comments have since gone viral online – and ‘The Problem Child’ has now offered his response. It’s fair to say the 28-year-old wasn’t pleased with what the boxing icon had to say.

In a post uploaded to X – formerly known as Twitter – Paul wrote: “You bum. Deji gave you a black eye in an event that had 4,000 people in it. Deji hahahah. I would knock you out in 2 rounds and you can’t sniff Mike Tyson’s toe.” BAVAFA Sports, a sports, media and talent advisory and investment firm, founded by Paul’s business partner Nakisa Bidarian also chimed in on the topic.

Paul retweeted a post from the official BAVAFA Sports X account which read: “Floyd, Turki and KSI- another day, another example of how Jake Paul is boxing’s biggest brand.” The dig at KSI came just hours after Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh and the social media star held discussions over a possible fight for the YouTuber-turned-boxer in the US this year.

Alalshikh is teaming up with KSI for the launch of Japanese fighting game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Both men recently sat down too announce to fans who buy the game that they are in with a chance of playing against the Brit. However, that wasn’t the only topic that they discussed.

“At the same time I challenge him to fight someone in America,” said Alalshikh. “We will discuss, me and him, about future opponents. But real fighters. Real boxers. Not 60 years old.” KSI replied: “Nah, I don’t. There is only one person who does that,” before Alalshikh said: “There is a famous guy in England who is 79 years old and he is famous in boxing. I could talk with him, I have a great relationship with him, if anyone wants to use him.”

His Excellency then teased that KSI’s potential fight in America could take place on the Ring Magazine card he has planned for San Francisco’s Alcatraz Prison later this year. “I am talking with him now and surprising him as well at the same time about doing something at Alcatraz jail in San Francisco in the future,” he added. To which, KSI replied: “Yeah, I am very excited to see what happens. We have got some big things happening.”
