Canadian freestyle skier Miha Fontaine clinched the bronze medal in the men’s event at a recent World Cup aerials competition. Hailing from Magog, Quebec, Fontaine achieved a score of 107.73, securing his inaugural World Cup medal. Last week in Lac-Beauport, Quebec, the 22-year-old narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth on the event’s second day.
The gold and silver medals in the men’s competition were claimed by Chinese skiers, with Li Xinpeng leading the pack with an impressive score of 137.19, outscoring Wang Xindi by 25.19 points. Emile Nadeau from Prevost, Quebec, landed in fifth place with a score of 104.49.
On the women’s side, Kalia Kuhn from the United States secured the gold with a score of 105.6, followed closely by China’s Xu Mengtao with a score of 105.17, and Australia’s Danielle Scott with 85.65 points. Alexandra Montminy from Lac-Beauport emerged as the top Canadian in seventh place.
