Cardi B Urges Canadian Fans to Fill Seats in Hamilton

Cardi B is expressing her concern for her Canadian fans, specifically those in Hamilton, as she tours across North America with her Little Miss Drama Tour. While most of her tour dates are selling out quickly, the Hamilton show scheduled for March 31 is not experiencing the same level of ticket sales.

In a now-deleted Instagram story post, Cardi B playfully warned her Canadian fans about the Hamilton show not meeting the sold-out streak she has been enjoying on the tour. She emphasized the importance of fans buying tickets to avoid breaking her streak.

Comparing ticket sales, Cardi B noted that most tour dates are nearly sold out, with only around 80% of tickets for the Hamilton show at TD Coliseum being sold. A check on Ticketmaster revealed that there are still numerous tickets available for the Hamilton date, while a Toronto show the day before has very few remaining seats.

Despite efforts to confirm the percentages with Ticketmaster, no response has been received by CBC News. Tickets for the Hamilton show are available for around $118, while prices for the Toronto show start at $314. Resale tickets for Toronto are listed as low as $230 each.

Cardi B has previously sold out multiple concert venues on her tour, including two nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. She also successfully sold out shows in Detroit, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Dallas, and more. Prior to her Vancouver show, she issued a similar warning and achieved a sold-out concert.

Responding to Cardi B’s message, Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath affirmed that Hamilton is a city that appreciates music and has seen significant attendance at live events. Multidisciplinary artist and community organizer Leon (Eklipz) Robinson echoed the sentiment, attributing the slower ticket sales to the rising cost of living and other expenses in the city.

Robinson emphasized that the lack of promotion for the concert could be a contributing factor to the ticket sales and expressed optimism that Cardi B’s callout could boost sales and potentially lead to a sold-out show. Cardi B has upcoming tour stops in Chicago and New York City before heading to Toronto and Hamilton later in the month.
