“Canadian Astronaut Jeremy Hansen Welcomed Home After Historic Moon Mission”

Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen and the Artemis II crew were warmly welcomed at the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) headquarters following their recent expedition to the far side of the moon. Addressing an enthusiastic crowd in Longueuil, Que., Hansen expressed gratitude to the individuals who contributed to the success of the mission.

During their 10-day voyage, Hansen, mission commander Reid Wiseman, and fellow astronauts Victor Glover and Christina Koch ventured farther from Earth than any previous human mission. Koch highlighted that both she and Glover had trained in Canada, emphasizing the CSA’s significance as a familiar and welcoming environment for them.

The crew engaged with Industry Minister Mélanie Joly, as well as members of the public, fielding questions alongside Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jenni Gibbons, who played a pivotal role at NASA’s Mission Control Center. Wiseman underscored how the diverse composition of the Artemis II crew enriched the mission by offering varied perspectives and fostering global unity.
