“Céline Dion Makes Musical Comeback with Romantic Single ‘Dansons'”

Céline Dion has released a new single, signaling her return to the music scene. Titled “Dansons,” which translates to “Let’s dance” in English, the gentle and romantic French-language ballad comes with a music video that exudes romance. The video showcases loving moments in Paris, with various couples dancing freely in public spaces.

This release comes ahead of the announcement of Dion’s upcoming performances at the Paris La Défense Arena from September 12 to October 17. Fans had been speculating about her return after noticing cryptic signs in Paris featuring lyrics from her popular songs such as “My Heart Will Go On” and “The Power of Love.”

Dion’s hiatus from the stage was due to health issues that led to the cancellation of her previous world tour. The new single, “Dansons,” was written by Jean-Jacques Goldman, a renowned songwriter. It marks Dion’s first French-language release in over ten years and her first original song in a while. Her most recent music contribution was in 2023 for the film “Love Again.”

The collaboration between Dion and Goldman goes back to their work on her albums, including “Encore un soir” in 2016 and “D’eux” in 1995, which became the highest-selling French-language album ever. Dion had to halt her Courage world tour in 2023 due to her battle with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that severely impacted her singing ability.

After a hiatus, Dion returned to the stage in July 2024 to perform at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony and later at a fashion show in Saudi Arabia. Her resilience and dedication to music continue to inspire fans worldwide.
