Earlier this year, during an episode of HBO’s “Last Week Tonight,” Oliver expressed his desire to be part of a soap opera after seeing ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith’s recurring appearances on “General Hospital.” Oliver made a public plea for a role in a soap opera, emphasizing his genuine love for the genre and requesting to play a character with a dramatic storyline, not as himself.
The soap opera quickly responded to Oliver’s offer, inviting him to join the cast. While details of his role remain confidential, a first-look image released by ABC shows Oliver in a navy blue suit alongside two men in tactical gear.
