“Québécois French Version of ‘The Simpsons’ Saved by Bell Media”

Bell Media has struck a deal with Disney Entertainment to bring back the Québécois French version of “The Simpsons,” ensuring that season 36 of “Les Simpson” will be broadcast on its Noovo television channel and stream on Crave this fall. This agreement comes after Corus Entertainment decided not to renew the broadcast rights last year, causing outrage among fans who were left with no option but to watch new episodes in European French.

Following a successful online petition that garnered thousands of signatures to preserve the Québécois dubbing, which has been a staple for 35 seasons featuring local references and expressions, Bell Media’s announcement has been met with enthusiasm. In a video shared on Noovo’s social media, Bart and Lisa Simpson deliver the good news in the familiar Québécois French voices that local audiences love.

The Québécois seasons of the show are typically one year behind the American version, which premiered its 37th season in September. For those eager to catch up on past episodes, seasons one to 35 in Québécois French are currently available for streaming on Disney+.
