The annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show has commenced, bringing together more than 3,000 dogs from various parts of the world in New York City to participate in diverse competitions. The prestigious best in show accolade, won by Monty the giant schnauzer in the previous year, will be the highlight of the event at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday. In the interim, spectators can enjoy the competitions at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, where dogs are showcasing their skills in masters agility, flyball, and other categories.
Amber McCune and her border collie, Prove-It, were captured in action during the masters agility competition on Saturday. The competition witnessed a high level of skill and dedication among the canine participants, vying for victory.

In addition to the agility competitions, bulldogs and a Bergamasco sheepdog were among the participants in the breed judging segment, showcasing their unique characteristics and qualities to the judges.

Among the backstage activities, grooming sessions were in full swing, with dogs like Pie, a Shih Tzu from Monclova, Ohio, and Dylan, a standard poodle, receiving meticulous grooming to look their best for the show. The grooming areas were bustling with activity, ensuring that the dogs were impeccably prepared for their time in the spotlight.
